Summary


This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and enthusiastic radiography team specialising in Paediatrics. We are a busy hospital, functioning as a Major Trauma centre and tertiary referral centre for the South West. The Radiology department here at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is accredited through UKAS for the Quality Standard for Imaging – what does that mean? This means that we take pride in our work here and are recognised for it.

The department consists of two Philips Imaging rooms, one Toshiba Fluoroscopy room, one Toshiba Acquillion CT Scanner, 4 C-Arms and three portable imaging machines. As a Band 5 Radiographer you will participate in providing a high standard of imaging, rotating through general X-ray, theatre, fluoroscopy. Further training is available in Forensic Imaging. The position is full time, including shift work.

You will need to have HCPC registration.

• To work as part of the radiographic team in delivering an efficient service in the Paediatric Radiology departments.
• Participate in out of hours and shift work as necessary
• Demonstrate a high standard of expertise in radiographic technique, exhibiting good organisational skills.
• Also to provide radiographic and other imaging examinations and patient care of all referred patients within the service adhering to departmental protocols and procedures.
