Summary

Field Service Engineer (Installation)

Birmingham / Midlands

38.5 Hours per Week Monday to Friday

Field Service Engineer required to join a growing organisation that design and manufacture medical equipment. The company are truly an industry leader and are committed to the ongoing training and development of their team and can provide full product training.

Candidates from any industry background are encouraged to apply but you will need experience working with cabling and wiring. This role would particularly suit candidates with experience working on laboratory equipment, but candidates from other industries, such as security systems, broadband etc. are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel and stay away as required.

Joining an existing team of seven engineers covering client sites spread throughout the UK, you will work largely independently and will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of laboratory monitoring systems. The company work at sites across the UK and so you can expect to stay away up to three nights per week. You will work and travel directly from home and depending on location, parts and equipment will be either delivered or collected.

The Field Service Engineer Role:

· Carry out installations, commissioning, and testing
· Calibration and validation
· Carry out routing service and updates as required under warranty and maintenance agreements
· Diagnosing and fault-finding breakdowns
· Support on call after probation
· Feedback on customer comments and requests
· Carry out site surveys and prepare quotes for new or updated systems
· Based from home
· Full product training

The Field Service Engineer Candidate:

· Any cabling/wiring background
· Happy to travel and stay away up to three nights per week
· Attention to detail
