Summary

The Change Officer organises the planning and execution of a project or change, which includes scheduling tasks, risk and progress management, creating and managing documentation, liaising with stakeholders, completing work in line with plans and reporting progress to senior leaders.

The Change Officer has a direct impact on the efficiency and overall success of a project or change. This requires excellent communication, organisational skills, logical thinking and problem-solving.

Working as a Change Officer brings new tasks and challenges on a daily basis. Some of the main duties and responsibilities you can expect to undertake in this role are as follows:

  • Support the Project Manager or Business Change Manager of the project or change you are assigned to.
  • May be required to manage and lead small-scale projects or project workstreams within large-scale projects.
  • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to support the delivery of activities and ensure they are engaged and communicated with at all stages.
