Summary

Service Improvement Manager – 60k

We have an excellent opportunity for a Home Manager who has a proven track record in turning around Nursing homes. If you are looking for a new and exciting challenge, and career progression within a growing and forward-thinking company, we have the role for you!

Excelcare is a family-owned care home provider established for over 34 years. We operate 31 nursing and care homes across the South, and this would be covering all regions with a focus in our Cambridge region which comprises 10 nursing and care homes. We provide support to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues.

What you can expect:

  • £60,000 - £5,000 Car Allowance
  • Mon-Fri – 8.00am-5.00pm

Responsibilities of the role:

  • To work across our nursing home portfolio supporting within the homes to achieve ‘outstanding’ outcomes.
  • Work closely with the commissioners, people living in our homes, families, and our teams to improve outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • To ensure a safe, compliant, excellent quality level of care is provided to all the people living in our homes.
  • To be recognised as a provider of choice within the community

About you:

  • Proven track record in turning around homes, improving services and leaving sustainable change.
  • Developing innovative ways to achieve necessary outcomes and working with teams to do so
  • Excellent delegation and management skill
  • Understanding and being able to ensure that our teams understand goals, measures and targets which need to be achieved.
  • Able to efficiently manage the rotas through unit leads and management teams to minimise agency use and effectively manage costs - budgetary management.
  • Excellent communicator with internal and external stakeholders
  • A great coach and mentor

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse qualified with active PIN - desirable.
  • RMA level 4 or Level 5 qualified
  • Care Home Management experience with older people
  • Excellent leadership qualities
  • A passion for elderly care
  • Excellent CQC knowledge
  • Experience of working to improvement and project plans
