HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANTGrade & Scale point: 8, SCP 25-28 Salary: £33,945- £36,648 FTE, £29,550- £31,903 Actual, £17.59-£19.00/hrHours of work: 37 hrs/wk, Monday - Friday Contract: Permanent, Term-time + 5 training days (195 days/year) Start date: September 2024 ( could be sooner for the right candidate)It is an exciting time to join Bude Park Primary as we continue to develop our hub provision, ensuring we are committed to giving all of our children every opportunity to achieve the highest of standards.We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HLTA who is an effective classroom practitioner. We require a highly committed, talented candidate who is ready for the next stage in their career. With a proven track record of supporting and enhancing the quality of teaching and improving outcomes for pupils, they will be an excellent role model for staff and children. Bude Park Primary is a small school in the north of Hull with places for 306 pupils ages 3-11. We are an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school and pride ourselves on providing a safe, caring environment where every child is given the confidence to achieve their full potential. We are committed to giving all of our children every opportunity to achieve the highest of standards.JOB REQUIREMENTSDeliver learning activities to pupils within agreed system of supervision, adjusting activities according to pupil responses/needsPlan challenging teaching and learning objectives to evaluate and adjust lessons/work plans as appropriate Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self-relianceWork within an established discipline policy to anticipate and manage behaviour constructively, promoting self-control and independenceAssist with the development and implementation of Individual Education / Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
GCSE English and Maths Grade A-C (or equivalent) HLTA status (or QTS)Understanding of National Curriculum, EYFS Guidance and other codes of practice e.g. SEN, Equalities, Safeguarding Effective use of ICT to support teaching and learningAbility to establish professional, effective working relationships with a range of partners/colleagues and children and young people.
