Summary
OUTPATIENT NURSE - FLEXIBANK
One Hatfield Hospital, has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Outpatients Registered Nurse to join their friendly and dynamic team on a bank contract.
Reporting to the Outpatient Manager, the successful Registered Nurse will be required to provide the highest standard of individualised patient care as part of the clinical team, including:
o Ensuring the comfort and safety of patients during their visit/admission to the hospital.
o Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance in line with hospital policies, national guidelines and best practice standards.
o Carrying out clinical nursing procedures, including wounds, assistance with minor procedures, monitoring vital signs, venepuncture and chaperoning.
HOURS: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts. Shifts will be between 08:00 and 20:00.
SALARY: Dependent on skillset and experience. Equivalent to Band 5, NHS AfC.

QUALIFICATIONS
o Registered Nurse with NMC
EXPERIENCE
o Clinical nursing experience in outpatients or clinic environment
o Proven ability to work independently and within a team
SKILLS
o Demonstrable knowledge and skills and competency of required clinical practice.
o Phlebotomy, cannulation, ECGs, and intravenous antibiotics would be an advantage.
o Comprehensive written, numerical and verbal communication skills
o Experience in computer skills using MS Office Suite and web based reporting systems
o Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
o Excellent customer service skills
DESIRABLES
o Enthusiasm for cross functional working within clinical departments as reasonably required.
o Experience in the private sector
o Relevant clinical skills in addition to assist with minor procedures
