Summary


We have a new, exciting opportunity for an Apprenticeship Advisor to join our Apprenticeship and Employability team.

Apprenticeships are increasingly important for the recruitment, retention and training of staff. They apply at all levels, across all disciplines, with more apprenticeship standards being approved nationally.

You will support with the co-ordination of apprenticeship opportunities to utilise apprenticeships to support workforce plans and employee development, and co-ordinate work related learning programmes aligned to these opportunities.

You will support with the Apprenticeship Journey ensuring that everyone is informed and kept up to date with progress and achievement

You will work with the Senior Apprenticeship and Employability Officer to ensure support is in place for Apprentices to meet any objectives set.

You will maintain Internal and External databases and support with writing reports

Support with the co-ordination of Apprenticeships and review opportunities to utilise apprenticeships for all relevant professions across the Trust, advising and supporting managers on the recruitment and implementation of Apprenticeships.

Support with the management of the day-to-day running of the Trust’s Apprenticeship Account; ensuring providers are paid, and employee incentives received, in timely manner.

Ensure that all databases and associated tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Work collaboratively with external training providers and Trust managers to co-ordinate apprenticeship programmes, including End Point Assessment, and the related recruitment processes.

Deliver training to support apprenticeship and employability programmes, where appropriate, on a range of soft skills.

Provide advice and respond to queries relating to training and development opportunities for employees, and work related learning programmes, including vocational qualifications, apprenticeships and work experience, considering individual learning needs and responding in a sensitive manner where required.

Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure all programmes are effective and successful.

Develop effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, using negotiating and motivational skills to generate the best possible outcome for service providers and learners / employees, participating in regional networks and attending meetings as required

Continually evaluate all development opportunities and related activities, benchmarking provision and outcomes against other organisations so as to ensure the Trust’s apprenticeship and work experience offerings are competitive. Report findings to all relevant stakeholders, by means of presentations and written reports, involving them in planning and implementing necessary improvements.

Support with the coordination of Learning and Development events held on site, including work-related conferences and qualification awards ceremonies; responsible for liaising with internal and external parties, booking resources and managing support from the Learning and Development team.

Attend external careers events to promote work opportunities at the Trust, co-ordinating display materials and equipment and support from Career Ambassadors as appropriate
