Summary

As a Payroll Administrator at WCS Group, you will play a vital role in supporting our quest to build the best water treatment, water hygiene, air quality, and testing company in the UK. WCS Group leads the Water Treatment and Water Hygiene division of Marlowe Compliance Services and is one of the largest water safety specialists in the UK. At WCS Group, we believe that our success hinges on the expertise and dedication of our team members.
Working in a team of five, you will join the Group Payroll Team who are responsible for all payroll activity across our multiple trading entities, collaborating closely with Finance, HR, and employees to ensure the most efficient and effective outcomes.


Key Objectives & Responsibilities

Manage email inbox queries from multiple people across the business, acting as a point of contact for employee queries and payroll related data requests
To support the Payroll Advisors with the preparation of monthly payrolls across multiple entities
Accurately prepare and input payroll data into the Sage 50 Cloud Payroll to include starters, leavers, and amendments
Input payroll into Sage 50 Cloud including overtime, SSP, SMP, pensions, student loans, court orders and other adjustments
Processing expenses, mileage payments and mileage deductions
Supporting with cross checking monthly payroll entry within the payroll team
Any other ad hoc duties and general administration as required

Key Skills / Qualifications

Basic payroll knowledge essential
Previous experience in a busy payroll department (desirable but not essential)
Experience using Sage 50 Cloud Payroll (desirable but not essential)
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational skills with ability to flex between work as required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident to challenge processes and data feeding into the payroll process
Competent user of excel
General admin / office experience
A team player – happy to get “stuck in”
