Summary
The main responsibilities of the post: Jointly lead on the provision of Paediatric Dysphagia for children (0-18) living in the London Borough of Redbridge. Independently managing a caseload of children presenting with complex feeding needs Work closely with clients carers, families and professionals to raise awareness, knowledge and skills related to the range of strategies that improve feeding outcomes across settings. Making highly specialist clinical decisions following assessment of complex cases Planning and implementing specialist packages of support and intervention Providing clinical support/supervision for SLTs working in clinic and special school settings Working in the context of a multi- disciplinary team in the Redbridge Child development Centre Provide specialist knowledge, advice, training and teaching to parents, carers, students and speech and language therapy team.
