Summary
You will be working with patients with complex clinical needs. You will be required to manage a varied and complex caseload whilst supporting the Occupational Therapy team, ensuring that the team are well supported and are exposed to varied learning opportunities and teaching. You will need to work with patients, families and the MDT in a sensitive and professional manner for the benefit of the patient. Sound prioritisation, time management and organisational skills are essential in this acute hospital environment whilst managing the demands of this role. You will require sound supervisory and leadership skills. You will be expected to ensure that the Occupational Therapy team are providing practice placements for students and will complete new starter inductions. There is also structured in-service training in place within the team, which you will be required to drive forward and participate in. You will be required to work closely with the Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist and Therapy Clinical Team Leader to lead service development, audit and research within the team and manage the operational running of the team. You will be based at the Leicester General Hospital and will be required to work on the weekend roster, including bank holidays.
