Summary

Platform Property Care have an exciting opportunity for a Tree / Arboriculture Surveyor to join our Estate Services Team as our Subject Matter Expert. This is an exciting time to join our team as we continue our growth plans to provide an in-house tree / arboriculture service to our grounds’ maintenance team; supporting our desire to embrace sustainability and make a positive difference to our communal areas and green spaces.

What could you be doing?

Based in and covering the West and East Midlands you will be surveying and documenting all tree stock in all communal areas and retirement accommodation. You will then produce maintenance schedules in order of urgency.

Supported by a dedicated Coordinator you will ensure that the tree data is accurate across our green spaces.

Some things we need from you

You will be the subject matter expert in this locality giving great service, providing ad-hoc expert advice, guidance, and recommendations to internal requests prioritising as necessary based on your experience and knowledge.

You will be Customer Focused with good organisational skills. You will be self-motivated, driven to meet objectives, with the ability to work autonomously. You will also possess good written and verbal communication skills, and strong IT skills.

Professionally you will have

Level 3 Arboriculture Qualification is essential

Lantra Professional Tree Inspection is essential

A City & Guilds/ National Diploma or equivalent in Horticulture is desirable

It would also be desirable if you were an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture and working towards Corporate Membership



You will also have experience in

Carrying out tree health surveys, hazard assessment, visual tree inspection and risk assessment surveys and reports

Dealing with Tree Preservation Order issues

You will have an In-depth knowledge and experience of professional Arboriculture work

An understanding of key industry standards and current guidance on tree risk management



This is a mobile role with a van and fuel card provided so a driving licence is essential. The area covered by this role is Birmingham/ the West Midlands/ Leicestershire/ Lincolnshire/ Derbyshire/ Worcestershire & Herefordshire. We have group offices in Solihull and Worcester. Ideally you would live close to the Solihull/ Nuneaton area.
