Summary

Valimex is looking for a capable and skilled Stock/Inventory Manager to oversee all activities within the Stock Team including the sourcing of all new products, the purchasing and replenishment of current stock lines. They will directly line manage people responsible for stock control, quality control and purchasing, and will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that the company’s Stock needs are met in the most efficient way possible. Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner
• Ensuring new supplier set-up is in line with Valimex standards and expectations factoring in lead times and delivery frequencies
• Immediately alerting the sales and staff management when a product is short in supply
• Completing all necessary stock takes, adjustments and stock reconciliation when needed
• Dealing with suppliers on a proactive basis, identifying performance issues, agreeing countermeasures, and ensuring a follow-up is complete
• Generating and analysing stock reports to highlight short/problematic/overstocks in a clear and concise manner, and to extract relevant qualitative information
• Liaising with the Warehouse team to agree on stock holding volumes and space requirements
• Agreeing appropriate stock receiving protocols with the Warehouse Manager
• Conducting meetings as required to communicate the alignment of processes and systems to the business strategy
• Maintaining a harmonious working relationship with suppliers and fellow team members

Experience and Knowledge:
• Experience in stock management within the fresh produce and food industry
• Knowledge of general stock and logistics procedures
• Strong track record of meeting deadlines and achieving set KPIs
• Proficient in data entry, maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Experience in line managing a team
• Experience working within a diverse team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A team player with a flexible attitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
