Section Engineer / Senior Engineer - Tier 1 Contractor - Major Civils Framework - Southwest England & South Wales
Role overview:
My client is a Tier 1 Construction and Civil Engineering Company.
They have been chosen as the sole provider of Lot 3 - Western Geotechnical Off-Track and Drainage - as part of Network Rail Wales and Western region's £2bn programme of works.
The Lot stretches from London Paddington to Penzance and involves the ongoing maintenance & renewals programme of civil engineering assets such as embankments, cuttings, scour protection, and earthworks drainage.
They are presently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis, a Section Engineer / Senior Engineer to add to their existing project team.
The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects and managing a small section of work while supervising one or more Site Engineers.
Your duties include:
- Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
- Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
- Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
- Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
- Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
- Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
