Summary
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide care and assistance to a woman in the B93 area of Solihull who lives with an acquired brain injury. She is physically able to do all tasks, but the brain injury has affected her executive function making it difficult to put the things she wants to do into practice.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of her daily needs and assist with a variety of tasks which will support the employer to live an independent personal and social life.
Main Duties:
● Remind to take medication
● Assist to manage & attend medical appointments
● Meal planning, support with planning and batch cooking
● Help to plan daily life/week
● Support with managing paperwork, bills, budgeting and appointments.
● Make phone calls
● Fill in forms
● General household chores and help to declutter
● Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary.
NOTE: These duties may vary from day to day.
Hours of work:
6 hours per week which will be used flexibly to meet the needs of the client. Normally 3 sessions per week of 2 hours, times tbc.
Rate of Pay:
From £12.14 with normal employee benefits
Experience:
● Some administrative experience would be ideal
● Previous experience working in a social care setting with clients on a 1-1 basis
● Knowledge of person-centred care
● Experience of working in a way that promotes equality, diversity and inclusivity
● Experience of supporting clients with daily living activities
