Summary


The Specialist Medicine Division at the Royal London Hospital is looking for a full-time enthusiastic and dynamic Band 3 Administrator to manage the patient pathway, reception and support clinical team with administrative duties of our Clinical Haematology service.

The successful applicant will be responsible for cashing-up clinics, scheduling, covering reception and the day-to-day administrative work of the service. The post-holder will provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative service.

We are looking to recruit an individual who works well under pressure, is enthusiastic, well-motivated and can work on their own initiative. The applicant should also have good Cerner Millennium skills. Good organisational and priority skills are essential along with the ability to work in a busy environment. The successful applicant should be committed to providing quality care for our patients and their families whilst applying the Barts Health Trust Values.

The purpose of this post is to ensure and participate in providing an effective administration service to the multidisciplinary team in the Haematology networked service.

In summary the post holder will:
• Provide administrative support to the Haematology service
• To provide general office support to staff within the service
• Support the administration of patients pathways from referral stage to discharge.
• To collate data for departmental activity
• To participate in the reception cover rota for lunchtimes, annual leave etc.
• Be a key contact in providing patients with access to healthcare professionals, information on appointments and assisting with other queries.
• Ensure all databases are updated for Dashboards, CQUINS, audit and research
• Consult with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Production, external delivery agencies
• Ensure Prescriptions are updated in a timely fashion
• Work with the Day Unit Administrator and team to co-ordinate when patient requires audiology, Dexa Scan, Cardiac T2* and Ferriscan to reduce multiple attendances at the hospital.
• Attend and support Multidisciplinary Team meetings
