Summary
Are you an experienced Children's Physiotherapist looking to further develop your specialist skills? Due to imminent maternity leave we are looking to recruit to a fixed term, part time (up to 23.5 hours per week) Band 6 Physiotherapist. This post will be for 12 months.
Do you want to be part of an innovative and agile Children and Young People’s Therapy service committed to delivering high quality care? Come and join our well-established Children's Physiotherapy team based at Danestrete Health Centre in Stevenage.
Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust provides integrated Children's Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy Services for families across the county. Our integrated service is jointly commissioned by health and education, allowing us to provide a seamless pathway of care from early years through to schools and specialist provisions.
The successful applicant will be expected to hold a varied caseload for young people aged 0-19 years, providing interventions in a variety of settings such as homes, schools including special schools and clinics. Post graduate experience/training within paediatrics is desirable, however having a broad range of clinical skills across various rotations would also be taken into consideration. Support, mentoring and further training will be provided to meet the individual needs of practitioners in areas where up skilling and development is required.
Our integrated service provides opportunities for collaborative working, joint training and shared learning amongst each profession. We work closely with colleagues in education, with well-established relationships. HCT is strongly committed to continuing professional development and the delivery of evidence-based practice.

• CPD opportunities, including in service masterclasses
• Opportunities to develop leadership skills and to supervise less experienced members of staff
• Opportunities to work alongside other therapists/assistants to deliver intervention to children/young people requiring specialist support
• A initial induction period where you will have the opportunity to observe and shadow your team.

Successful candidates will need to be enthusiastic and motivated. Good communication, clinical reasoning and organisational skills are essential. You must be computer literate and able to demonstrate good working knowledge of a variety of essential computer systems and programmes. You must be a team player but be able to work autonomously and have the ability to champion the needs of your patients.
A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Vaccination as a Condition of Deployment (VCOD) for Healthcare Workers - Candidates offered a role with Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust, who are aged 18 and over and who will have direct, face to face contact with service users as part of their role will be required to evidence that they have received a complete course of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, subject to limited exceptions, by no later than 1 April 2022.
