Team Manager (Grade 10)

Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Team Manager to join our organisation. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of employees and ensuring the successful delivery of projects and tasks. This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to your team, setting goals and expectations, and evaluating performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive productivity, efficiency, and quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying training and development needs, implementing process improvements, and driving employee engagement.

Responsibilities
Oversee a team of [number] employees and ensure the successful completion of projects and tasks
Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide ongoing guidance and support
Monitor team performance and address any performance issues or areas of improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and delivery
Identify training and development needs for team members and implement appropriate programs
Drive process improvements to enhance team productivity, efficiency, and quality

Requirements
2 years of experience in a managerial role
Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Experience of managing staff and complex situations, using clear judgement to advise others to do the same Beginner
Knowledge of National and Directorate policies and procedures relating to children and families, including Looked After Children, child protection and their statutory base Advanced
"(HCC) Degree or equivalent level of experience Specific qualification requirement (if applicable): Professional qualification in Social Work (Diploma in Social Work, BA/BSc/MA in Social Work, CQSW as required by Social Work England)." Essential
(HCC) A comprehensive knowledge of the statutory framework for fostering and post order services Essential
(HCC) Experience of working with partners across the public, health and social care sectors Essential
(HCC) Good working knowledge of electronic case management systems and management information systems within a children’s social care or education setting. Essential
Able to work as part of a team of middle managers and contribute to the wider performance of the branch and department
