Summary

Job Title: Site Supervisor

Job Description Summary: As a Site Supervisor at v Substation, you will collaborate with the site manager to oversee operations on site, including managing subcontractors and providing essential feedback. Your role is crucial in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining project timelines, and upholding quality standards.

Duration: 2-year project, offering a 6-month rolling contract.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Full UK driving licence
- SSE CAT1, CAT 2 & CAT 3 authorisations
- IOSHH Managing Safely or SMSTS or SSSTS
- IOSH environmental or equivalent
- CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the T&D industry in an M&E role, preferably on SSEN sites
- Previous experience in a supervisory level
- HSG47
- First Aid at Work

Desirable Qualifications:

- HNC / HND in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Formal Civil or Electrical or Mechanical training
- Impressed Voltage training
- Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor experience

Job Duties:

- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations on site.
- Oversee adherence to setting-to-work procedures.
- Maintain project schedule while prioritizing health and safety standards.
- Generate timely reports and provide necessary information.
- Provide effective supervision and guidance to staff and subcontractors.
- Continuously update and enhance personal skill and knowledge levels.
- Follow directives from line managers or management team.
- Adhere to Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions.
- Support clients and ensure achievement of agreed KPIs.
- Promote and capture best practices for organizational improvement.
- Lead by example in health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
- Ensure and maintain quality standards throughout the project.
- Assist in the creation of as-built drawings.
- Assist in implementing Safe Systems of Work, including issuing Permits to Dig.
- Monitor task/project progress and intervene as needed.
