Main Job Purpose:
To assist in the provision of high quality, timely financial information, which best meets our clients’ needs and provide support to the accounting team, including senior management.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assist in the preparation of clients’ financial reports and associated information.
• Liaise with client’s to ensure all their financial information is in order.
• Support senior management where required to review and monitor work.
• Update and manage the practice management system on a daily basis to ensure work flow is methodical and organised.
• Work as part of the team to provide general accounts support to the office to ensure the office runs in an orderly and business-like way.
General Responsibilities:
• Observe health and safety procedures in the workplace, with particular reference to maintaining a Covid safe environment, to ensure personal safety and to safeguard the interests and safety of colleagues, customers and visitors.
• Provide cover for colleagues as required.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as appropriate - all staff are expected to work flexibly within their skill level to respond to changing priorities and make sure that client expectations and business objectives are met.
• In addition to the duties outlined, employees may be required to carry out duties which do not affect the nature of this post.

• A good standard of education, including GCSE English and Maths
• A Levels
Knowledge and Skills
• Microsoft excel
• Microsoft word
• Excellent communication skills

• Team player with the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Ability to organise necessary accounts information
• Professional and friendly demeanor.
• Willingness to help and support colleagues, thinking beyond the task being given.
• Be proactive, bring ideas, suggestions and contribute to business improvement.
• Undertake training as required.

Working week: 37.5 Hours, 9-5 Monday to Friday
Apprenticeship standard: Accounts Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship.
