Summary

Are you interested in becoming a professional social worker and learn whilst working as part of a dynamic and vibrant social work team?



Sunderland City Council is pleased to be working in partnership with the University of Sunderland to offer you the opportunity to complete a three-year fully funded degree apprenticeship and obtain a social work qualification whilst you earn a salary for the duration of the course.



In order to apply for the apprenticeship, you will need to evidence in your application 120 UCAS points (or equivalent), GCSE (or equivalent) English andamp; Maths Grade C/4 or above. andnbsp;Applicants with relevant experience may apply with 80 UCAS points but would need to complete a written case study (1500 words outlining significant/exceptional experience) to the university (please see person specification for further details)



Prior experience (either paid or voluntary) in an Adult Social Care Setting is also an essential requirement.

On successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to apply for registration with Social Work England.
