Summary

To receive notifications from professionals via the e-CDOP (electronic) system. To liaise with partner agencies and send out requests for information in a standard To coordinate information on individual cases and assist in the preparation of information packs for discussion at CDOP Support the management of team recruitment, team performance, work schedules and commitments ensuring all appropriate coaching, training and development is provided. To support the Safeguarding Children Nurse Manager and Nurse Specialists for child Deaths to develop and maintain a robust process for when children 0 18 years die and ensure that the national processes are in place and runs efficiently and effectively Manage the provision of a full range of administrative duties, deal with general matters and more complex correspondence according to local procedures as well as assisting with local projects and corporate initiatives. Contribute to policy changes in particular when the national CDOP IT platform requires alterations and transformation and support the JAR team in the change management. Ability to signpost work, professional, parents and families queries to appropriate discipline; to problem solve and exercise judgement on administrative and day to day queries and concerns. To manage telephone queries in a caring, compassionate and professional way and signpost distraught parents, families and professionals to members of the JAR team. Update and manage computer databases and spreadsheets, provide reports and compile information as requested by senior members of the Child Death Review team. Maintain confidentiality, respond to enquiries, and telephone calls and provide required information to internal and external customers. Provide professional support to all partners involved with the childs death, undertaking an ambassadorial role dealing with confidential and sensitive matters, first point of contact for senior members of the Child Death Review team. Support the team in undertaking research work and compiling reports/briefings. Minute taking at senior strategic meetings, including preparation of agendas and supporting papers. Manage utilisation of and provide expertise in software packages such as Microsoft Office and eCDOP, production of documentation according to local procedures and statutory legal requirements. To foster excellent working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and management teams across Hertfordshire. To be the central point of contact for staff dealing with telephone and face to face enquiries in a polite and efficient manner, passing enquiries to the team as appropriate, for action and taking messages in their absence, so that communication is maintained. Assist with the coordination of training events. To maintain an accurate and up to date list of Health Local Charitable organisations and National Charities associated with Child Death. To be flexible and work within the JAR team to ensure administrative cover is provided as required. The duties and responsibilities listed above describe the post as it is at present. The post holder is expected to accept any reasonable alterations that may from time to time be necessary as this process develops.
