Summary
Provide a caring approach to all services and work with the Practice Nurse in the organisation of clinics Works as part of the team to achieve good outcomes in; CQC, QOF, enhanced services and local improvement schemes Ensures awareness of statutory and local clinical protection procedures, including systems of referral. Ability to recognise signs and symptoms of child abuse. Ability to obtain and document informed consent (either verbal or written). Ensure infection control guidelines are implemented and followed. Ability to monitor and manage maintenance of stock and equipment to include refrigeration and emergency equipment and the monitoring under CQC. Assessing the health care needs of patients Providing health education through direction to the right staff in the practice In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans with the Practice Nurse for health Able to recognise and manage anaphylaxis according to current UK guidelines. Able to perform Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation according to current UK guidelines. Supporting the practice and PCN delivery of the Covid response / Vaccine delivery Participate in the organisation and administration of immunisations programme including; flu, covid, shingles, travel vaccinations and others Participation in the running of chronic disease management clinics through the delivery of diagnostic testing. Undertake Health surveillance / screening: Seasonal Influenza vaccines/B12 New Patient Health Checks Over 75 Health Checks Electrocardiograph recording Blood pressure monitoring Hypertension monitoring Pulse rate recording 24-hour blood pressure monitoring Phlebotomy Dressings, suture removal Support and educate patients to adopt and promote healthy lifestyles and apply principles of self-care
