Deputy Head of Boarding Contract : Full time, permanent, residential – 40 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (plus board and lodgings)Responsible to: Head of Boarding Start Date: 1 September 2024 Salary: Grade 8, Point 18 - 23, £28,157 - £30,857 pro rata (£29,269 - £32,076 full time equivalent) Accommodation: As this is residential there is accommodation provided with this post. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to become the Deputy Head of Boarding in our vibrant Boarding Department. The Deputy Head of Boarding will assist with the general and personal development of all the students in the Boarding House, in accordance with school policies. They will support and assist the Head of Boarding in providing students with a positive, ‘home from home’ experience of boarding education, recognising and meeting the needs of each individual through the establishment of strong and supportive personal relationships. Situated at ‘The Gateway to the Cotswolds’, Burford School is an Academy School founded as an Elizabethan Grammar School in 1571. The Charter of the School is still in existence and its founding is celebrated each year when a Charter Day Service is held, attended by the whole school. Today, the original Grammar School in the heart of Burford, is a Grade 1 listed building and forms part of the Burford School Boarding Department.
