Summary


We are seeking a highly competent and dedicated Administrative Support Assistant to join our team at King's Mill Hospital, on a part-time secondment basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the provision of undergraduate medical education within the Trust, ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks and fostering excellent working relationships.

Act as the first point of contact for the department, dealing with routine and specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information to stakeholders, referring to others as appropriate.

Ability to work effectively as part of the Medical Education team. In exceptional circumstances, and not part of the weekly rota, provide reception cover in Training & Education/Education Centre.

Assist the Programme Leads and co-ordinate the arrangements for complex teaching programmes and prepare written documentation for Undergraduate medical student attachments.

Communicate and negotiate with a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels within the Trust and from external bodies and agencies including NHS Consultants from other Trusts, University of Nottingham Faculty Office and examinations for Undergraduate medical students using a wide variety of methods i.e. e-mail, telephone, written and face
to face.

Provide an information service in respect of the teaching programmes and related matters to Undergraduate medical student attachments at the Trust, responding positively to queries from both Trust and staff from external bodies/agencies.

Answer telephone calls, taking messages and passing on accurately to the relevant departments/person.

Have a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadlines.
