Are you a newly qualified or an experienced nurse thinking to specialise in vascular surgery?

Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your career in a highly renowned and innovative multi-disciplinary team, at one of the UK's leading teaching hospitals in London?

We are currently looking for motivated, forward thinking and enthusiastic nurses with an interest in vascular surgery to join our dynamic team.

Cheselden ward is a 22-bedded Regional Vascular Unit for the Southwest Thames Vascular Network.

It is one of the leading centres in the UK, providing tertiary, specialised minor and major vascular procedures both for acute and elective patients including: angiographic procedures, endovascular aortic stenting, open aneurysm repair, limb bypass surgery, lower limb amputations and carotid endarterectomy. The ward also cares for patients with complex wounds and has close links with diabetic services.

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse in our unit, you will be offered a commitment to your continued professional development. You will have the opportunity to attend conferences, be involved in ward audits, become a link nurse and attend our in-house Band 5 Development days.

We would very much like to hear from you, and would be happy to arrange a meeting to show you around the ward. We want you to feel as confident as we are that St George’s is the right hospital for you to advance your nursing career.

The Trust has the additional expectation that all staff will be able to identify concerns and know what action to take.
