Job Description
Location: Leatherhead, easy access to town centre and train station

Salary: Up to £27,000

These roles are available in the following rooms.

Infants 3 to 12 months

Toddlers 1 to 2 years

Twaddlers 2 to 2.5 years

Preppers 2.5 to 3 years

As a Senior Nursery Nurse / Deputy Room Leader, your pivotal role centres around nurturing young minds and cultivating a lifelong passion for learning. Your multifaceted responsibilities encompass crafting and delivering captivating activities tailored to each child's unique interests and developmental needs, utilising the innovative Learning Experience LEAP program. Your dedication extends to orchestrating care experiences that transcend conventional practices, catering to individual requirements while nurturing holistic development.

You'll meticulously assess and tailor personalised support and learning experiences to optimize each child's progress. With a robust key-person approach, you'll create an environment prioritising every child's well-being and growth.

Guiding a dedicated team of early years practitioners, you'll lead by example through mentoring, coaching, and setting exceptional standards. By closely monitoring observations and providing timely support, you'll foster a collaborative atmosphere that thrives on continuous improvement.

As the Designated Safeguarding Lead Level 3, you'll champion child protection, health, safety, and welfare, aligning with The Learning Experience's stringent policies. Your adept communication will traverse organisational levels, fostering a harmonious environment.

Your commitment extends to effective behavior management, fostering emotional intelligence, and engaging with families to enhance retention. Your dedication to staying current with best practices through meetings and training ensures a forward-looking approach.

Adeptly managing essential tasks, your support within the nursery and broader business showcases a holistic commitment to success. Your influence will reverberate through our institution's growth.

Qualifications
Post-qualified Experience working within the Early Years sector
Experience working as a critical person and Room Leader (or equivalent) within a nursery setting
Paediatric First Aid Certification (required)
Level 3 qualification in Early Years (required)
Experience working with young children and supporting families, working in partnership to meet children's needs
Knowledge of crucial person systems and record-keeping
Knowledge of Ofsted and Ofsted requirements
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and embrace new ways of doing things.
Competent user of ICT systems and willingness to learn and develop.
Complete Level 3 and or above(equivalent) Childcare qualification, Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in Team Leadership, and Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent)
Ability to commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
