Taymouth Castle Golf and Sport Club is Discovery Land’s second European private members-only golf & sport community. The Club also offers additional facilities at Glenlyon, a nearby farm and mountain estate. Discover Something Unique

The first phase of the castle is due to open late spring/summer which will be an exciting time. We are looking to add to our kitchen brigade with the addition of a Chef de Partie a section leader who is responsible for the creation of exquisite dishes, that not only taste fantastic but are visually stunning, matching the creative range of food styles to suit each environment of the club.

With our members and their guests at the heart of everything we produce, our formidable team are a creative bunch hugely talented in their field. Carefully preparing a fine range of mouth-watering dishes at a variety of locations. From the Castles sumptuous and delicious afternoon teas served within our Chinese Drawing Room. Or comforting favourites at the Tavern, to baronial style feasting in the Baron’s Hall to the magnificent views and atmosphere of the Glenlyon estate and the Lairds Hall. The Outdoor Kitchen at the Grouse House to our Wild Kitchen located on the banks of the River Tay. Each experience utterly unique, creating a distinctive Scottish experience.

Part of a strong brigade of chefs you work with the Head chef in developing exciting and creative menu choices ensuring that when it is time for our members and their guests to dine, whatever the occasion, it is beautifully presented and reflecting a mouth-watering visual appeal.

Incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques; home grown from the farm, gardens, and hills around our estate, using our bounty of natural and organic produce in creating the finest dishes.

Our menus are engineered to make the best of the finest ingredients Scotland’s incredible natural larder has to offer. Grown and foraged produce from Taymouth and Glenlyon estates play an ever-meaningful role in maintaining a truly seasonal and sustainable approach.

Leading this close-nit brigade of chefs in ensuring that each item prepared follows a well thought out and crafted recipe. Continually creating and sharing ideas with the team, supporting with their individual training and development, and allowing and encouraging participation with ideas and suggestions of new menu ideas.

This superb opportunity is for an enthusiastic Chef with at least four years-experience. You may be an experienced Demi Chef de Partie ready to take the next step in your culinary career, or, looking for a change and an opportunity to work with home grown seasonal produce. We need someone who wants to work with the best and be part of a unique and exciting project. Crafting uniquely personalised dishes that are mindful of the occasion and the individual tastes.
