Job Description :
At CarryBags Ltd, we are looking for an outstanding young team member who is interested in Web Development to be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of our website and mobile applications. Web developer's responsibilities include making changes to our website from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function. Responsibilities also include designing, creating and maintaining websites through programming languages such as HTML, CSS, React and JavaScript. You will be commonly work with Web Designers to create the user interface of a website, dashboards and other professionals to create and test our mobile applications.
Responsibilities :
• Understand current IT space of the company using tutorials.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development in practices.
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
• Create and maintain software documentation.
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site and mobile application.
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent.
• Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them.
• Back up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery.
• Identifying problems uncovered by customer/Team feedback and testing and
correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
• Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases
mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
Required skills and qualifications :
• Mathematical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• An understanding of the latest web trends and their role in a commercial
environment.
• Teamwork skills, because most projects require input from individuals with
different roles.
• Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends.
• Interest in Programming languages such as HTML5, JavaScript, React and PHP.
• Applicant must be investing time in learning new tech apart from work.
The Principal Statement :
• Position: You will be working as a Web Developer and reporting to the Founder & IT Team Leader.
• Employer Name: CARRYBAGS LTD
• Working hours: Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 1 hour of (unpaid)
break per day as Hybrid working pattern.
• Salary: Your annual gross salary will be NMW (as per your age)
commencing from start date (MAY 2024). https://www.gov.uk/national- minimum-wage-rates Your salary will be paid on monthly basis on every 5th date of the following month.
• Holiday Entitlement: Paid leave is allowed for up to 29 days during 12 months which includes public holidays and any emergency leave you may require during 12 months.
