As a Platform Owner for Cloud and Infrastructure, you will be see as an industry leader and expert, ensuring team and individual service delivery expectations are exceeded and positively received. You will influence, lead, and successfully execute departmental strategy and decisions to deliver outputs on time and compliantly creating a resilient, supportive, and proactive culture.




Key Responsibilities



- Platform Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear and compelling platform strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives for Cloud, infrastructure and End User Computing. This covers cloud environments, services and tools, monitoring, storage, backups, hardware, client operating systems and infrastructure maintenance to support business needs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, designers, architects and business leaders, to gather input, prioritize features, and ensure the platform meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain a comprehensive platform roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer value to ensure services are evergreen. Knowledge of operating systems, hardware (laptops/end user devices) and databases to support technical debt and maintenance roadmap planning to ensure Cadent’s platforms are supported and secure.
- Platform Ownership: Take ownership of the platform's backlog, define user stories, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of enabler features and enhancements.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement robust performance metrics and monitoring processes to track platform usage, health, and effectiveness. Continuously analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
- User Experience: Champion user-centric design principles to ensure an intuitive and seamless user experience for all platform users.





Skills and Experience



- Experience with agile development methodologies, including SAFe and the role of a Product/Platform Owner therein.
- Amazon Web Services certifications and experience essential. Microsoft Azure Certified qualifications and experience desirable. Google Cloud Platform knowledge beneficial.
- VMWare, Hyper-V and server hardware experience for on premise solutions.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of platform ownership and delivery.
- Hands-on experience of leading agile delivery with mixed teams of in-house and external developers/engineers.
- Experience of successfully building, binding, leading, and motivating multi-disciplinary in-house technical teams.Technical Skills:
- Experience in Cloud design/architecture and environment provisioning.
- Experience in End User Computing inc. Windows 11 deployment, Unified Endpoint Management and Microsoft technologies desirable.
- Familiarity with relevant technology stacks and tools.
- Understanding of market trends and industry best practices.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry advancements.Leadership Skills:

- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to influence and drive consensus.
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrating resilience; finds the best path through conflicting pressures and competing demands, with the customers’ needs and priorities at the forefront.
- Working together; pro-actively targets key stakeholders and influencers and builds effective relationships with them.
- Personal responsibility: accurately sets the appropriate pace of change and works with Scrum Master to tackle impediments that are slowing progress in the Team.
- Positively aspiring; acts as a strong and credible voice for Cloud & Infrastructure Platforms across Cadent.
