Summary

Teachers Main and Upper Pay Scale + SEN Max - Full and part time positions available - To start September 2024

Join our school to make a difference to the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs.

The Avenue School is a day special school for pupils aged 2 – 19 with a severe or profound learning disability as their primary need.

We are a well-resourced school with small classes, so teachers are able to deliver personalised learning to our pupils. Our friendly special school can offer successful candidates CPD opportunities, supportive colleagues and a good work-life balance, including PPA ‘work from home days’.

Due to expansion, we are looking for full or part time class teachers to join our staff from September 2024.

We would welcome applications from both teachers already within special education as well as mainstream colleagues with a passion for complex SEND.

We invite applications from Early Career Teachers who are interested in special education and provide a full programme of training and mentor support as part of ECT induction.

We currently have opportunities within our primary as well as secondary classes. The successful candidates will be dynamic, nurturing and creative team players.

The Avenue is a day school for pupils aged 2 – 19 with complex special needs including those with significant health needs and autism.
