Summary


University Hospitals of Derby and Burton have an exciting position available for an MRI Superintendent Radiographer based at Royal Derby Hospital

The successful candidate will be responsible for the MRI Service within University Hospital of Derby and Burton(UHDB)

This is a full time post, however part-time may be considered for the right candidate. The job will suit a highly motivated experienced MRI Radiographer with a desire to lead a team of skilled staff.

This will be a rewarding but challenging role and will suit Radiographers with a desire to stretch their leadership skills and enhance their prospects for career progression.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day organisation, management and supervision of the MRI service at RDH, working alongside other MRI/CT superintendents and a multi-disciplinary team.

UHDB has 10 MRI scanners, at the Derby site there are 4 Philips 1.5T Ingenia and a 3T Ingenia.

On the Burton site we have two 1.5T scanners, Philips Ingenia and a Siemans Sola 1.5, we also run a Philips Ingenia 1.5T D-Hive mobile MRI unit that can be deployed at any site.

At Florence Nightingale Community Hospital (FNCH) there is a Philips 1.5T scanner. Currently under construction is an mobile van pad and welcome pod.

Ilkeston Community Hospital (ICH) is one of the CDC sites where there is a Trust mobile MRI Van which is a Philips 1.5T Ingenia.

ICH is also the site for our first open MRI scanner a 0.4T due to be in operation April 2024.
