Connex Education is working with a SEND school based in Sheffield who are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis.

We are excited to present a unique assignment at a school that caters Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 pupils with additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health and autism. The assignment calls for a SEND Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting students towards their full-potential using a play-based approach to learning.
Assignment Details
This SEND Teaching Assistant role is to start immediately and is an ongoing assignment, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30PM. This is likely to become a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right person.

Person Specification
- You must have a minimum of a passed GCSE in English and Maths or functional skills level 2 in Maths and English.
- Have experience of supporting pupils with Special Needs, either in a school or a similar setting.
- Be confident in working with challenging behaviour.
- You must have a current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to provide a new one.
- Be able provide references for all work in the last 2 years.
