Summary

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEN School)

Location: Calne

Type: Full-time position

Salary: £95-£100 per day (dependent on experience)

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an SEN (Special Educational Needs) school located in Calne. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who require additional support.

Responsibilities:
- Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties in their academic and personal development.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning programs to meet individual needs.
- Provide one-to-one support and guidance to students during classroom activities.
- Promote positive behaviour management techniques and encourage positive social interactions.
- Help create a safe and nurturing learning environment for students.
- Collaborate with other staff members, including teachers, therapists, and parents, to ensure effective support for each student.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with emotional and behavioural difficulties is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting and improving the lives of students with special educational needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the update service is mandatory.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or related fields are advantageous.
