Summary

Elim Housing Association is a provider of housing and support services in the West of England and Gloucestershire, our vision is ‘to meet housing need and deliver homes that change people’s lives’.Elim Housing Association's Young Parents service provides housing and support for young parents.

The Responsible adult is a live in role, you would be required to provide out of hours support to residents in emergency situations.

What you will be doing:

• Provide holistic low-level support both face to face and on the phone to YP.
• Keep good records of any support given
• Communicate with supported housing officers to give them an update of anything that may have happened.
• Open to change and embraces improvement and is active in the development
of the service.
• Establish and maintain trusting relationships with residents
• Proactively contribute and support the team leader to ensure the service and the building are in line with our health and safety compliance framework
• Be responsible for attending and completing mandatory training and other training as required, with ongoing commitment to continued professional development.
• Safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults in line with organisational safeguarding policies and local procedures.

What you will need to be successful:

• Knowledge of safeguarding guidelines.
• Experience of working in a support role either paid or voluntary.
• Open to change and embraces improvement and development of services.
• Understand the causes of homelessness and social exclusion for vulnerable residents.
• Good level of IT literacy.
• Experience of carrying out own administrative duties
