Summary
One of the world’s leading potato breeders and merchants is seeking to appoint a Contracts Manager to be based at Castleton of Eassie, Glamis, By Forfar DD8 1SJ.
As the Contracts Manager you will be responsible for planning in conjunction with others the production of seed potatoes of controlled varieties annually. Key to this will be your ability to provide information and understanding on the varieties their differences and characteristics. Integral to the role will be managing a portfolio of certified seed growers in Scotland and England. Coordinate the recording, registration and submission of growing crop returns to SASA and eDomero as required. Liaise with Canaries sales rep on ware requirements for the Canary Islands and manage the supply as required. Attend events to enable you to promote best practice knowledge transfer which contributes to our marketing strategy.
Take the lead role in coordinating the test dig programme for all certified seed crops registered in Agrico’s name and those other crops where we have a marketing interest. With knowledge of the crops gained from test digging the role will include the allocation of stocks to customers recorded in our Nav ERP system.
The role will also involve assisting with the planning and delivery of annual UK field trials. Necessary skills will include:
