We are seeking a dynamic and innovative person to manage our busy Charity Shop in Droitwich Spa as our Charity Shop Manager. Previous retail experience in a management capacity is essential, as is the ability to manage and work well with a team of staff and volunteers, and deal with cash management and financial records.

Key Responsibilities

To manage the Droitwich Spa Charity Shop and to promote the mission of the Salvation Army, ensuring maximum profitability from the sales of donated items whilst taking into account the need to support the community & the Salvation Army’s wider mission. You will also be responsible for developing vision, and for recruiting & managing a team of employees and volunteers and conducting regular performance reviews and appraisals.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:


Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
They can lead, manage and motivate a team of staff and volunteers to ensure the shop meets its objectives
That they are self-motivated and organised
That they are a team player and can deal with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds
A working knowledge of Health and Safety, stock control/rotation is essential as well as the ability to present the shop and the windows attractively and effectively


The ideal candidate will also have a S/NVQ 4 qualification in retail management or equivalent.
