Scottish Power IT are looking for a financial analyst to join their team on a contract basis.
This role would be ideal for a recent graduate, or someone looking to take a step up from an accounts or finance assistance position.
Job Title: Financial Analyst
Business: Scottish Power IT
Location: ScottishPower HQ, Glasgow/hybrid style working
Duration: 11 month initial contract with scope of extension
Rate: Disclosed upon application
Job Purpose Statement
• The primary purpose of the role is to monitor UK IT expenditure, produce any reports required by Management and other stakeholders to enable financial performance to be assessed.
Accountability Statements
Central finance team activities
• Assist with the Business planning process.
• Assist with cost modelling around charging model.
• Assist the NIS project & Cyber Security department Finance partner with the following activities:
• Purchasing activities.
• Financial tracking and variance analysis
• PCD regulatory reporting
• Maintain forecasts in PPM, BPF, Clarity & SAP
• Assist with financial reporting and cost modelling of Cloud contract utilisation.
Planning and Organising
• Plan and organise workload in response to conflicting demands and changing priorities across a range of stakeholders in different geographic locations.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
• Computer literate with significant experience and expertise in the use of spreadsheets for reporting and modelling.
• An ability to communicate (both verbally and in written form) at management level
• A qualification in relation to finance/accounts, or suitable experience
