Hours: Monday-Friday (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm)

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as first point of contact for all enquires relating to ceremonial events, graduations and certification; in person, via email and telephone seeking to resolve issues where appropriate.
- Proactively support the University's process for the conferment of Honorary degrees and other awards, from nominations through to graduation to ensure awards are conferred on distinguished persons effectively and in accordance with the University's strategic priorities; also providing an excellent standard of service in the personal arrangements for award recipients and their guests.
- Proactively support graduation preparations by assisting with a range of activities.
- Maintain ceremonies and graduation record systems and process graduation data.
- Assist with all aspects of general administration relevant to the Ceremonial events including financial, GDPR, FOI, Health and Safety.
- Provide assistance with the general administrative support contributing to the smooth operation and management of the Office.
- Assist with meetings of Honorary Degrees Committee to ensure effective support for the committee clerk and committee members.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

- Excellent organisational skills, including ability to work with key stakeholders over multiple events.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team and independently.
- Ability to work under pressure, to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of large-scale database to process data.
- Knowledge of working in complex organisations.
- Good working knowledge of GDPR, Freedom of Information legislation and Health and Safety Legislation.
- High level of accuracy and good attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills
