Summary
Tasks required by this job include:
● Measure external walls or roofs precisely to determine the materials required.
● Calculate the quantity of thatching material, tiles, slates, or underfelt that will be required.
● Cut wooden battens, underfelt, and felt to the appropriate length.
● Underfelt needs to be spread out, secured, and covered with hot bitumen or other adhesive materials if needed.
● Lay, position, and fasten ever more overlapping layers of roofing material in compliance with the instructions.
● Use mortar to seal the edges of the roof and ensure that every seam is waterproof.
● Check that the final product complies with specifications and quality standards.
● Follow all safety instructions and protocols to ensure a secure workplace.
