Pause Practitioner PO3

Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pause Practitioner to join our team. As a Pause Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing support and interventions to women who have had multiple children removed from their care. The aim of the Pause Programme is to break the cycle of repeat removals and support women to make positive changes in their lives.

In this role, you will work closely with women to help them address the underlying issues that have led to their children being taken into care. You will provide one-to-one support, group work, and advocacy services to empower women to make lasting changes. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing tailored support plans, and providing ongoing emotional and practical support to clients.

To excel in this position, you must have a deep understanding of trauma-informed practice and be skilled in utilizing a range of therapeutic interventions. You must be compassionate, non-judgmental, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have the ability to build positive relationships with women and their families.

Responsibilities
Conducting needs assessments and risk assessments for clients
Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with clients
Providing one-to-one support and intervention sessions to clients
Facilitating group work sessions, including parenting programs and life skills workshops
Liaising and advocating on behalf of clients with relevant agencies and professionals
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of support plans and interventions
Collaborating with other professionals, including social workers and mental health practitioners, to ensure integrated care
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work)
Proven experience working with vulnerable individuals, preferably in a similar role
Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice and attachment theory
Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills
Excellent communication and active listening skills
Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with clients
Experience in delivering group work sessions and facilitating workshops
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Willingness to continually learn and develop professionally
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the clients
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel purposes
