This is your chance to be part of an amazing nursing team - where patient care is at the centre of everything we do. Do you want to make a difference to each patient’s experience of the NHS as they proceed through their journey? Do you want regular involvement within your team and understanding leadership?

The Enhanced Perioperative Care Unit (EPOC) is for you.

EPOC provides post operative surgical care. EPOC is a 7 bedded elective Higher care unit caring for post-operative patients who are identified as higher risk for their elective surgery and require enhanced care post operatively. We have a commitment to ensuring that every patients experience on admission is of the highest quality. We provide our patients with a true multi-disciplined team that can support our patients in their health needs with our own ward based therapy team.

If you are looking for professional and personal development then we will support you to achieve this. There is a clear development structure in place, which includes various courses to help you understand your delivery of care within the emergency medical speciality. We actively encourage training and development with Trainee Nurse Associate courses run from our hospital.

You must be able to work as part of team and autonomously when required, and be committed to delivering care of a high standard. We work closely with our colleagues in the Emergency Department and on The Same Day Medical Assessment Unit and are looking at rotational posts within our speciality.

It is not essential to have worked within emergency medicine to apply for this position as we would welcome everyone who like us are committed to going the extra mile for our patients. We work together to create a positive team spirit, recognising achievements and celebrating success. We know that happy patients start with happy staff.

Full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time hours considered.
