Summary

Creative Support is a national, fast-growing not-for-profit organisation providing support to individuals with a wide range of care needs. We are looking for Waking Night Support Workers to support people with learning disabilities at our service in Scunthorpe.

We are looking for respectful, warm and energetic individuals to work waking nights at our Scunthorpe service which provides person-centered support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. Some of the people we support can demonstrate behaviour which is challenging, and some have complex physical support needs, but you will be supported and trained in how to assist them. We need people who have a real interest in the social care sector and are seeking to work in services which hold person-centred values. You will be part of a team and receive supervision throughout the probationary process to ensure you have the knowledge and skills needed. As well as providing direct care and support, you will have the opportunity to act as a Key Worker supporting people to achieve their dreams and ambitions.

Waking Night Support Worker Duties Include:

• Developing and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service users,
• Carrying out general administrative duties and housing management tasks.
• Administering medication
• Providing personal care
• Communicating and building relationships with service users’ family, support network and involved professionals.

Although we value relevant experience of supporting people with mental health needs, you do not need to have prior experience if you can demonstrate a ‘can-do approach’, person-centred values, energy and commitment. You will have a strong work ethic and duty of care and be able to contribute to a positive team approach. We provide full training so you can develop in your role.

Benefits of working with Creative Support:
We offer all employees competitive pay and a pension contribution in addition to 28 days annual leave. As an employer that is committed to the professional development of our staff we also support our care staff to complete the nationally recognised Care Certificate and pay for your enhanced DBS. Additional benefits include enhanced maternity leave, employee support programmes and an additional day of leave each year on or around your Birthday.

Creative Support is a passionate, inclusive, and anti-racist organisation. We are a Stonewall Diversity Champion, Disability Confident Employer, who have recently received Investors in People Gold award. We actively encourage applications from candidates from all backgrounds and cultures, however we can only accept fully completed applications from those located in and eligible to work within the UK – Please be aware we are currently at full capacity with our Visa Sponsor Licenses, therefore we are not accepting applicants who are seeking sponsorship.

We are also not accepting applicants who are currently on a Skilled Worker Visa, seeking secondary employment, as we are unable to actively track the hours worked with the primary sponsor.

We will be interviewing for this role as suitable applications are received and may close this role before the closing date upon a successful candidate being appointed. We do not notify unsuccessful candidates of their outcome at application stage, previously unsuccessful applicants must wait six months before reapplying.
