Are you looking for full time work in the education sector? Teaching Personnel have an exciting role in a Primary School based in Cardiff!

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit a dedicated and hardworking Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School based in Cardiff. The position will be full-time, working alongside a class in the Foundation Phase. The ideal candidate will be working with a child on a 1:1 basis who requires additional support with their learning, and day to day support in the classroom. Experience working with children with additional learning needs is desriable, but not always needed to be successful in the role. Using initiative and being confident creating strong relationships with the children will be required, and there may be instances dealing with challenging behaviour. You may also be required to complete intervention work with small groups of children to assist with literacy and numeracy work.



Main duties required:
- Confident providing 1:1 support to children with additional learning needs
- Ability to complete intervention work with small groups of children to assist with learning
- On hand to support the teacher with general classroom support

About the school:

The school are looking for an energetic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team with a positive attitude. Due to the diverse nature of the school, there may be pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL). The school will provide continuous support and feedback for the successful candidate, with the possibility to extend to a permanent position until the end of the academic year.

What you will need:
- Enhanced DBS (Child Only) checks must be completed before the role will commence. (Teaching Personnel can help throughout the whole onboarding process!)
- Registered to the Education Workforce Council (mandatory requirement in Wales).
- Experience personally or in a working environment with children (desirable).
