As a Night Support Worker what does the role entail:
Your day will consist of …
• To be responsible for the safety and security of the building and service users, including completing and updating necessary case files.
• Provide a point of contact to service users who may require assistance and crisis support outside of normal office hours, ensuring their health, wellbeing and security.
• Control access to the scheme and monitor visitors to ensure the safety of service users.
• Maintain the security of the scheme to ensure that the assets of the YMCA are safeguarded.
• Ensure that staff presence is maintained at all times
• Respond promptly and positively to any issues or incidents that arise, ensuring that these are fully documented on the YMCA associated paperwork.
• Ensure that case notes are maintained and all contact with service users is documented.
• Ensure that House Rules are maintained and in the event of serious anti-social behaviour the appropriate agencies are contacted.
• Maintaining comprehensive records of housing applicants, residents, former residents and properties, ensuring the information is accurate, up to date and relevant.
This job is for you, if…
• You have experience working within a Supported Housing Setting (desirable but not essential)
• You have a good standard of education to G.C.S.E level or equivalent, with grade C or above – or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
• You have good communication skills both written and verbal.
• You have a calm personable nature and find appropriate resolutions when handling conflict or difficult issues.
• You are a resilient and confident team worker who can work on their own initiative or work as part of a team.
• You can work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
