Solar PV Designer
Poole/ Cardiff
Our innovative client, a clear lead in their field is looking for an experienced Solar PV designer to join their interesting and expanding business. Our client is committed to delivering high-quality projects and has an impressive portfolio of work in high-end markets.
As Solar PV Designer you will play a crucial role in the design and development of Solar PV Projects.
Key Responsibilities as Solar PV Designer
- Compiling shading analysis and feasibility studies
- Using AutoCAD software to create detailed layout plans, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Working closely with a variety of other teams within the business such as Project Manager, engineering and clients to develop customised solutions.
- Perform system sizing calculations, equipment selection, and component specifications based on site conditions, electrical load profiles, and regulatory standards.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and technological advancements.
Experience as Solar PV Designer
- Solid demonstrable AutoCAD and PV*Sol, Helioscope, PVSsyst experience
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent
- A good understanding of MCS Regulations
- At least 5 years’ experience working within solar PV system design and engineering.
- Knowledge of UK-specific electrical codes, standards and regulations related to PV installations.
- Commitment and dedication to your role.
- Be a great communicator with an analytical mind.
