We are seeking a Registered Manager for our Ofsted rated ‘Good’, 3 bedded home providing the highest quality therapeutic care grounded in an understanding of trauma and attachment, then this is an ideal opportunity for you and we would welcome you to our successful management team based in Cowplain Hampshire. You will lead, motivate & inspire your team to, be part of a group of Managers in the region, with ample support and team spirit.

About the Home…

The home is large, detached 3 bedded home, with ample space and areas in the home, and a large rear garden, close to all amenities and transport links, which provides support for up to 3 young people, with 2-3 staff on site 24 hours. We support our children, in all aspects of their lives, emotionally, supporting education, health, physical and mental well-being, and we encourage independence, providing opportunities for new experiences and promoting their interests & hobbies.

We have a large team of Support Workers, led by the manager, and a Deputy. We are looking for a manager who can lead the teams to maintain consistency, boundaries, structure and routine – all of which are vital in supporting the children to feel safe, learn to accept support & guidance, build strong and meaningful relationships with the children, and make it their home.

As a manager you have access to a range of specialist who work with us at Keys Group. These specialists include:

- Self-injurious behaviour specialist

- Sexualized behaviour specialist

- Police liaison specialist

- Substance misuse specialist

- Exploitation specialist

We also work to the model of Keys Connect and work alongside an assistant Psychologists, Psychologist and Therapist.

More About the Role

· You will be accountable for delivering high quality care within the home, ensuring the care and progress children make is outstanding.

· You will be responsible for delivery of quality care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home and all day to day management matters.

· Leading your team along with other professionals, you will provide the therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child focused on obtaining the best outcomes.

· You will act as a positive role model to colleagues and children to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth and lasting change.

· Responsible for mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focussed training to QCF level 3, performance reviews and appraisals

· Service development, budget and financial performance of the home.

· The protection, safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of our children and young people.

What do You Need?

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a similar environment at a Senior level.

· Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young Peoples workforce.

· Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health and Social Care services (Children and Young Peoples management qualification).

· Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding procedures such as The Children Act 1989, Childrens home regulations.

· Highly driven, proactive and enthusiastic leader.

· A strong people manager with a hands on approach.

· Experience of budgets and financial management.

· Fully committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.

· Full driving licence is essential.

· Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties.
