Job Description: x2 posts available. 1 with interest in Cystic Fibrosis and/or Bronchiectasis and 2nd with interest in Sleep and Ventilation

Hours: Full time, part time and flexible working considered

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) is looking for a full-time Respiratory Consultant to join an existing team of 30 NHS and academic consultants providing general and specialist Respiratory services to the people of Nottinghamshire and beyond.

You will be joining a dedicated team of professionals providing outstanding Respiratory care and internationally recognised Respiratory research within the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre, a partnership between NUH and the University of Nottingham.

NUH is the fourth largest acute Trust within the UK, with a busy emergency department at Queen's Medical Centre, which is a level 1 Trauma Centre. NUH provides services to 2.5 million residents of Nottingham and surrounding communities, and specialist services to a further 3-4million across the region and nationally.

Applicants must have GMC registration and be eligible to be included on the Specialist Register. Sub specialty interests could also be accommodated.

Professional Registration Essential
  • Full GMC registration Eligible to be included on the Specialist Register or CCT expected within 6 months of interview date
Professional Qualifications/Development Essential
  • MBBS, MBChB or equivalent MRCP
Desirable
  • Higher professional degree e.g. MD, PhD or equivalent
Clinical Skills/Experience Essential
  • Evidenced technical skills as described in the job description.
  • Able to communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, their families and other health professionals.
Management Skills Essential
  • Able to develop, present and operationalise coherent ideas for service development/delivery.
  • Able to work in a team.
Personal Skills/Qualities Essential
