We are currently recruiting for a Goods Movement Operative at our South Bank site in Middlesbrough. The successful applicant will
report directly to the Goods In Supervisor and will be responsible for the collating of finished goods and transferring them to
central despatch, ensuring all stock taking and rotation procedures are followed and will provide support for the Goods In
function.
We are seeking someone who is self-motivated with good housekeeping skills and who has the ability to communicate with a wide
range of people.
MAIN DUTIES:
* Conduct weekend and daily stock takes, including box stock inventory.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout all areas under supervision.
* Acquire and enhance skills necessary for versatility within the area.
* Implement tighter stock control measures including rotation, early notification of issues such as expired items or shortages,
collaborating closely with Purchasing and Planning departments.
* Ensure traceability and conduct goods-in checks, keeping all relevant paperwork up-to-date and submitted promptly.
* Procure necessary raw materials and packaging for daily production as per requisition sheets.
* Provide requested information to Purchasing, Site Accountants, and planning departments.
* Enforce adherence to health and safety protocols, promptly reporting and recording any accidents.
* Ensure timely receipt and delivery of food requisitions to designated sites.
* Perform temperature checks on goods received and dispatched, ensuring compliance with procedures.
* Confirm that all dispatched products bear the correct date.
* Familiarize oneself with the Company’s Disciplinary Procedures.
* Foster positive employee relations and cooperation among various areas.
* Continuously strive for personal and area development.
These duties encompass a range of responsibilities vital for the smooth operation and management of Goods Movement, ensuring
efficiency, compliance, and quality in all processes.
A forklift licence is essential.
