About The Role
Calling all care assistants/support workers who have experience working in a nursing home or domiciliary care setting wanting to take your next career move to supporting individuals with complex needs in a bespoke service.
The ideal candidate will have a compassionate and caring nature, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be patient and have the ability to work hard to excel within this role. Whilst providing the necessary care for service users, you must be willing to promote their independence by successfully engaging them in daily tasks.
If you are highly motivated by offering unconditional positive support with a non-judgemental approach, with the aim to truly enhance individual's lives, this role is for you.
Day-to-day duties include:
Provide full personal care to individuals, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Assist with meal preparation and medication management
Attend events and day trips with individuals
Supporting individuals with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
Closely monitor physical changes within individuals
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided
As a temporary Support Worker at AJ, you will provide care and support to adults with autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, dementia, sensory impairments and behaviours that challenge.
Requirements
• Experience caring for individuals with complex care needs
• Experience supporting individuals with autism and epilepsy
• Being a driver with access to your own vehicle is desirable
