We are looking to recruit Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians to work at Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary with our friendly team.

* This is a two year fixed term appointment to commence in September 2024

Pharmacy Technicians have an important role within the hospital, managing all aspects of medicines and we have an excellent reputation within the North West for providing great training across a large variety of service areas.

This is an excellent opportunity to train for a career as a Registered Pharmacy Technician. You will study for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians whilst you work on an apprenticeship program, gaining experience in various areas of pharmacy within the hospital.

We are looking for candidates with vision and motivation to join our dynamic team.

Applicants must possess a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade A* - C or grade 4 - 9 in English, Mathematics, Chemistry or dual Science, plus one other Science subject (or equivalent). If you have already obtained certificates for the above qualifications your certificates should be brought to the interview. Overseas qualification may need to be verified prior to interview by providing Naric Certificate of Reference or equivalent.

You must be willing and able to follow an academic and practical training course and commit up to 10 hours per week of your own time for private study.

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and we’re always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate and inspire – to join our team.

In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction. By joining us you can also access a competitive benefits package, including, a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
